2009 vs 2019 comic art!

For [Midnight Boogie] I did all the backgrounds in ballpoint pen (one I found in a bank parking lot). I'd love to revisit and redraw some of those old pages.

Did a sketchy redraw of my old jackal character Stone. This was the 2nd thing I ever drew digitally with a pirated version of photoshop when I got my first tablet in 7th grade. Keep creating!

I definitely fell into a slump earlier this year where I wasn't happy with my art and felt like I wasn't improving, but this made me realize that I've actually come a long way - from the start of the decade /and/ the start of this year!

I was in first degree, studying graphic design, and I was quite clear that I wanted to start with digital art. A friend lent me her old WACOM tablet that year and four years later here I am.

I was real little in 2009 and my real old drawings are quite wild, but fast forward to now and dang I have improved so much with my art! There are different aspects I’m still working on, but when you compare my art throughout the years, yeah definite improvement!
