Fronds' bracelets are part of his unique control system for his robot. There's a whole "sign" language only he knows. The bracelets register a complex series of hand gestures into different commands. When floating off, it's sort of a "stand-by" mode. They also allow him to float!

the tock piece is what i call the "effort exceleration" turn where upon making tock and growing attached i really wanted to put more thought and effort behind my art beyond just "two characters talking/ character standing around making a peace sign" and it WORKED LOL
Another classic, the Lunatick! Such a mystical, alien-looking design, with a beautiful color scheme. This is one of the designs that stood out the absolute most to me playing Dragon Quest IX. Even as a kid, I saw it and thought "that is a DAMN good creature design"
