I’ll add to that, Kabuto’s evolution Kabutops is based on trilobites and possibly eurypterids (“sea scorpions”, though not true scorpions but ancient relatives of arachnids). The name Kabutops is probably a reference to Triops, or possibly even Triceratops.

141 - Kabutops
Type: Rock/Water

It was able to swim quickly through the water by compactly folding up its razor-sharp sickles.

Inspired by and I wanted to work on a Kabutops that's more, Completed.

Honestly would love to see my girlfriend’s character in your style! I’ve also got a cute jaguar OC I’ve not gotten to play with at all, and a kabutops I’ve wanted a suit of for a while now!

People who say Dragapult would be the ghost of Armaldo or Kabutops , I don't really agree... 🤔

Haha it's been a while since I've posted huh? Well I joined in on the bandwagon. I asked Quizup's Name The Pokémon community for suggestions and picked out the six I liked the most. Pretty happy with it overall, except for Kabutops.

the best part of the Gen 1 Source Code leak has to be the original English names for the Fossil Pokemon

Kabuto & Kabutops were apparently ATT and LANTIS
Omantye & Omastar were also gonna be called ESS and KARGO lmao

my disappointment is immeasurable

Day 118 of the 151:
Picked out by one of my students we have their favorite

Its sleek shape is perfect for swimming. It slashes prey with its claws and drains the body fluids.

For some... rather unfortunate reason, it is unusually common to see Kabutops prey on their larval stage, Kabuto. They very quickly grow segments and limbs in their last few molts before adulthood, so perhaps it's related to their digestion of their old shells?
