Behold! a Gaper. Similar to a mimic, they transform themselves as objects on doorways, windows, and other openings, hoping someone steps through and enters their stomach.

Unlike a mimic, gapers can manifest legs similar to a spider, which they use to walk and climb.

Saw Del Toro’s Mimic, really cool premise and style. I think it’s A mostly pretty well handled creature feature, but I think the scenes with the monsters suffer from really bad lighting. I understand hiding for suspense but some scenes I genuinely couldn’t tell what was happening

I’d like to release Mimic, issue by issue, completely for free digitally. Then sell a physical copy of it collected. Afterwards I’ll look into using the money from that and maybe crowdfunding to jump start the rest of the projects. That’s all a bit down the line though!
