I really like the simplicity and the scratchy outlines.
thinking about how i am possibly not at my strongest when committing to hard outlines. except when i am being funny; then it's right on the money.
spent three and a half hours trying to rip the dq9 sprites and only achieved a single one, but here have a lil comparison against the size of the DQ5 sprites
they're way bigger but have much less detailed shading and outlines, thats interesting!

By adding a gaussian blur to the increased outlines, you get a softer look that makes the blacks of the outlines much more blended.

- Straight lines work out my pose.
- Quickly sprite down a map of the materials blobbing them out without outlines and then carving them to a shape that feels "Right".
- Shade, fine detail, and refine.
