In Flanders Fields, the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

Just a small tribute for remembrance day.

I'm so happy that Aurora Borealis is going to a new home tomorrow. I hope that Poppies and Apple Blossom will also find somewhere new this week.

Our druid passed away in our Sleeping Roots game. We found him like this in the morning, in a crappy inn room covered with white poppies and his leshy familiar lying with him.

Here is an original by me of poppies with pitcher and drapery. Light versus shadow makes for a more dramatic painting. https://t.co/jcH2iyWMvQ

Demuth’s botanical watercolours are some of the finest of the twentieth century. Red Poppies (1929), Pears (1929), Distinguished Air (1930) & Chimney & Water Tower (1931). The sailors are looking at a sculpture of Princess X by Brâncusi

Practice sheet for small Remembrance Day painting in. Art 10. I’m taking a slightly different approach this year and NOT doing poppies. Can you guess what we’re doing instead?
