Trop HS, trop chaud dans les salles, je me contente d'un repost de Selaginella lepidophylla, la fleur de la résurrection, rose de Jericho... pour le prompt d'aujourd'hui du #sciartseptember : #living
For today's prompt: Living
It is a collage from Goya's and Haeckel's work.
Even after we die, the matter circles back to something else that's alive.

Ah... I'm a wee bit behind with #SciArtSeptember, but here are some I prepared earlier for #Oceanic!

Day 09
#Oceanic
Little baby of Mola mola 🖤
Drawn for "Strip Science" 2012
Ink & photoshop

Thx @pierrekerner :)
#9 for #SciArtSeptember is "Oceanic." 🌊
After recently moving to Florida, I've been thinking a lot more about this subject lately! The shark trio is one of my newest pieces & the starry ammonite is from last year. Both are ink on paper with digital color. 🦈

Des dessins qui auraient pu aussi convenir pour #oceanic du #SciArtSeptember, petite sélection :
Today’s #SciArtSeptember theme is ‘ancient’. I drew someone in the archaeological findings from the Borum Eshøj grave, from the Nordic Bronze Age (1700–500 BC). Inspired by my experience visiting @MuseumMoesgaard while studying with @StudyAbroadDIS .
#SciArtSeptember Day 9: Oceanic
Common #Cuttlefish (Sepia officinalis)
Supercool. The best fish (@franzanth can affirm that).

#Molluscs rule the world.
- 2017
The first thing that came to mind for the "ancient" #SciArtSeptember prompt were #stromatolites, which are formations created by #cyanobacteria and evidence of the first life on Earth. This is a stylized rendition of a cross section of one of these deposits

Probably my favorite image that I consider #sciart is this nautilus one. And it’s perfect for today’s #sciartseptember prompt “ancient” because not only has the nautilus been around forever, but I made this image a loooong time ago haha. 🌀
#SciArtSeptember “ancient” I just turned 59 (the books I bought were science related)
Day 7 - #unassuming - Hapalochlaena maculosa ... Small but deadly #sciartseptember #sciart
Mono-oxygenase from ferns. Ferns predate dinosaurs. Had the privilege of looking at fossilized ferns a couple of years ago. Time is a funny thing.
Prompt: Ancient

Missed yesterday, but I'm back #SciArtSeptember!
I've always felt like northern shoveler ducks are "unassuming." Quietly flying under the rader, looking vaguely like mallards.
Art is from a local duck personal project from while back.

#1 for #SciArtSeptember is "Earthly."
These are a couple of my older works, circa 2013-14. Earth science is always on my mind in one way or another. These pieces are an exploration of the incredible, unfathomable geologic time scale of our planet Earth.🌐
#SciArt #Geology
#SciArtSeptember - it’s time to meet your unassuming (but important) inner fish.
I nearly forgot about #SciArtSeptember! Now I have some catching up to do.
#4 is "Massive" -- sauropods are definitely my favorite massive subject matter to illustrate! 🦕
#SciArt #paleoart
#SciArtSeptember Day 2: the "little-known" #medaka fish! 🐟 Probably less famous than #zebrafish, is an extremely interesting model organism for genetics and population genomics studies!
