honestly I feel like I'm at a bit of a standstill with my digital art, I know obviously I need to do more to improve but I'm really feeling that doing the same style of colouring that I do traditionally is translating too simple to digital and I need to switch it up

I was always at a standstill at how to depict sonic styled snakes, limbs or no limbs? According the Boom and Archie the solution was just to give them robotic appendages and torsos and I love that.
