Here’s a short comic that takes place right before Nastaran meets Safiya. Sorry for the cliffhanger 😅 I practiced coloring here before moving onto the prologue. I learned a lot, like don’t over complicate backgrounds! It’s way too busy here.

Jamila took Nastaran under her wing immediately and started seeing her as her own daughter early on.
After her healing period Nastaran became fiery and dedicated to her training (probably too dedicated).

Jesper & Safiya are Nastaran’s closest friends. They are more or less trapped in the courtesan house they were born in, but they are the biggest informants on the slave trade. Nastaran learns about trust/friendship from Jesper, and Safiya teaches her about love & loving yourself.

Kamilah, an Ifrit (an evil jinni), was born from Nastaran’s bloodthirst. She takes on Nastaran’s appearance and her goal is to destroy Nastarans soul to gain full freedom.

The story is about healing and finding a support system. It’s kind of in that 1001 Nights theme, but in my own made up world.
Nastaran is a warrior who is impulsive, bloodthirsty, and hot headed. She has a lot of trauma in her past that fuels her desire for revenge.
