My sona has changed SO much over time. I eventually put together my favorite things and gave them the title of goo monster, it fit. It's sometimes hard to relate to a character, but the little tweaks and stuff I've made to this doof have just slowly adapted them to be me.

This is probably one of the most noble scenes of Doof. He didn't even like Mildred and he had a bad day as the third wheel between Scott and she. And even so he saved her by risking his own life in the process.
Because is important to Scott.

You could make it work for Jar Jar if he didn't feel like a constantly liability. Goofy but lovable characters are relatively easy. Like Coop from Megas XLR is a skilled combatant. Bolin from Korra is a doof but a great earth bender. The key is to find that middle ground.
