I modded him a little bit more. Addind a gaussian blur filter set to overlay behind my original filter.

Now I think the glow is where it should be!

By wasted potential: the original characters were designed by the same artist who made Resort Boin and Kanojo×Kanojo×Kanojo and then the series put them through a digi-paint generic filter.

These are supposed to be the same character (left is the original, right is the series).
