Really glad I revisited this, it holds up pretty well! Especially compared to KH1. Soundtrack is A++. Ending successfully turned me into mush again too.

Holy shit I understand why this game is regarded as the best in the series from the improvements over KH1's mechanics and the addition of drive forms to enhance the combat, plus the OST is just🔥
All I need to do now is draw Sora in his KH1 outfit for the complete set.

If this is the last game I play from start > finish this year, I'm glad this was the one I picked. Though not perfect, replaying KH1FM has given me a much better love and appreciation for everything this game did in establishing what KH is.
Okay but like the fact that KH1 Kairi doesn't have an avatar board to herself and is only used to show off the Sora dress and KH2 Riku just doesn't have one at all is sending me like I dunno why they just don't exist when they all have KH3 avatar boards
