I wound up making two versions: one all sparkly and glowy like I do, and the other a soft shaded flat piece to preserve the linework. I don't think I've ever drawn my baby girl this well, and I'm honestly so emotional right now! 🥺💜✨

Tonight progress so far. Changed the color to the stripes on Rivets ears, finished goggles outside of details I keep adding, shading as well. tripped Eyebrows a bit. Cleaned up a lot of linework. Going to star her metal earrings. Added detail to the puff of hair between goggles.

I was curious about what other possible game knowledge it had buried away. This is "a wizard in the style of yoshitaka amano" - it's not quite there but if you know Amano's work, it has some of the texture, the colours, the linework. It's definitely *close*.

@ColdCriti Visual identity doesn’t end at just shading, that’s like saying AoT S1 doesn’t have a distinct visual identity because MHA and other anime also had thick linework. I’m thinking about directing, designs, palette choices, the movie-like battle scenes, etc.

messing around with a new brush and no linework. Feels both very wrong and super satisfying. They just want a smooch @backwardjackson c'mon.

This is a commission I did for someone of one of their many original characters, whom I was given the task to design (within guidelines). Unlike my usual stuff, I took a "painter" approach and didn't work in linework. It felt really inconvenient. XD
