While I understand why they don't have it and wouldn't use it if it was available, If Fromsoftware games like Elden Ring or Dark souls add easier options or an easy mode, I do not believe it would hurt the game that much as it is 100% optional and you can just not use it.

Though I have to admit

Playing the game with an actual functional framerate makes it passable and maybe fun when in VS mode, once you know how the mechanics work.
