This is all about hats! This impressive headpiece was immortalised on canvas by Norwich School artist Joseph Clover (1779-1853). Perhaps he was more taken with the hat than the wearer, as this painting is simply titled 'Portrait of a Lady with Ostrich Plume Hat'.

Mainly using for scruffy factor but I personally don't trust what that dog is scheming in the picture I used.

I hope it looks “good”. I got some experiences with dog breeders, they can be rude to toonish artists because the art style is not “realistic”. Please, change my mind.

I’d love to tell them: sorry! I’ve always been a cat person!

This is a print of a Norwich snap-dragon from about 1830. Dragons have become a symbol for the Asexual and Aromantic community linked to the idea that Ace people, like dragons don’t exist, as they are often underrepresented or ignored.

There is something rare and enigmatic happening in Michael Andrews’ art. In this oil sketch of the artist Leslie Davenport at work painting in his Norwich garden, there's sense of heat and summer light as compelling as any by Degas for example.

Following on from earlier in the week, here we have another watercolour by John Thirtle called ‘Rainbow Effect on the River, Kings Street, Norwich’. This stunning piece of work depicts a view of the River Wensum, ruins of St Anne’s Church on the right and St Anne’s Staithe.

We're giving you the Bright side this evening. The days are definitely getting longer so before long you might be able to take an after-work walk in the light! We enjoyed orange skies in Norwich yesterday, not unlike this 'Sunset on the Yare' by Henry Bright in chalk and pastel.
