7) Texturing and blending with coloured pencils. Don’t hatch just to hatch. Contour the shape of the object with it, think sculptural. Also useful for covering or softening minor to medium fuckups. 👍

Drew Struzan and Travis Charest kinda use the same painting techniques, acrylics combined with water, airbrush & colored pencils.

Does this process takes them so long because is physical media? Trying to figure out how to replicate that digitally to make it practically faster.

Once tabled next to Timm and watched him crank out hit after hit with but a humble Sharpie. He might've crafted this beauty with Hy-Vee watercolors or grade school map pencils. The swordsman who can defeat you without unsheathing his blade. A golf pro out-driving you with a 2x4.
