august's mythological coloring page piece was "simurgh". I had a lot of fun doing the fantastical peacock-inspired plumage on this one.

Day 17 of #AvianAugust is the White-Browed Tit-Warbler which has an appropriately complex name for its complex rainbow plumage! It's also delightfully round!
Thought to be guardians of many a Forest these creatures often loom in the distance being able to close the distance with great haste should it be required; their plumage swifts to match that of surrounding plant life.

Smaugust 2021 - Bearded Vulture
I love the regal air these bird exude, more so that they intentionally colour their plumage.

The American Robin was named after the European Robin due to their similar plumage. However, American Robins are thrushes where their European counterparts are flycatchers. The American Robin was made the state bird of Wisconsin in 1949

Wip. Edmontosaurus annectens.
Playing with wattle/plumage ideas on the head. I dont think annectens had this though. More regalis territory.
From the Vaults (aka my icloud): Lem concept art!!
Yes, before Stella was even created or thought of, I made a little design for a type of alien bird-horse steed. Like a lot of bird species, I played around with giving the males brighter/more colorful plumage. 🦜+🐴
I have never been more nervous to post something on the internet, but here's my first ever fanart of @AethrionS, this is as complete as it'll be

After a devastatingly cold Winter #Rainbow #Crow sacrificed his plumage & gentle voice to collect a burning branch from the Great Sky Spirit, to save other animals. His feathers were charred black & his voice turned harsh & hoarse.

Grow into your own plumage, brightly,
So that any tree is a marvelous city."

If I see one more person saying “oMg sToLaS hAs nIpS” I am gonna scream—
They’re obviously clamped onto his chest plumage; he’s a fucking owl he doesn’t have nipples 😭😭

With a new-found sense of motivation, I have created colour

@LittleOldMan9 Thank you so much! This one is from the Codex Laud rather than the Codex Borgia, it's got some lovely artistic differences to how the owls are portrayed! On the left is a Borgia owl eating a snake, the artist has given it brighter plumage and longer tufty ears. Pretty cute!
"Murders of crows dye the sky black, the eldritch in one witch awakens, crimson plumage unfurls to seal the fate of every innocent mortal."
