No. 368: Gorebyss
South Sea Pokémon
Although Gorebyss is the very picture of elegance and beauty while swimming, it is also cruel. When it spots prey, this Pokémon inserts its thin mouth into the prey's body and drains the prey of its body fluids.
coyote tum, starts out like this pic, progresses to absolutely huge and squirmy full of tons of prey, ending with waking up to a colossal wobbly sloshy boulder of a gut the next morning 💦
I’m not the type of pred that runs after my prey, I know they’ll come on their own eventually- I know how bad they want me to swallow them anyway
Amity with his favorite prey, Toki, in his belly!
I swear, I need to draw more of the cutest dialga that ever dared to exist, Toki!
The newest alvarezsaur discovery shown in #PrehistoricPlanet is their great hearing! A study last year found they had similar inner ear structure to barn owls, which hunt by ear. Some modern termite-eaters like the bat-eared fox listen for prey, too. (📷@jonahchoiniere et al.)
✨️It's the friends we make along the way✨️
Little bit of a redraw of some more OCs I've had for a few whiles, been really good revisting them again. 🌻

The holotype specimen has been estimated to have had a total body length of 4.3 meters, just over half the length of Piscogavialis with which it shared its environment with. However despite being larger, Piscogavialis was specialised in small prey, leaving Sacaco a generalist.
While Tetranadon usually waits by the water's edge to ambush prey, it'll sometimes hunt on land to capture land-based creatures. It's capable of traveling great distances on land with the help of the moss and algae that have grown on its body.
The roc is a giant bird of prey, big enough to carry elephants in its talons, that appears in Middle Eastern tales, including those of Sinbad the Sailor. It could have been inspired by the Malagasy crowned eagle or the elephant bird, both now extinct. #FairyTaleTuesday
Test page for the Alex comic. Color or BW was a VERY long and difficult decision to make.
Here's a sneak peak at how Alex meets Apple, the fruit fox. Fruit foxes create fruit to lure prey, but Apple's technique here could really only work on Alex...
Snakes can swallow huge prey, here's a demonstration 🧐🧐

It is a bait for those who repel erotism.
It is like the sweet nectar of a carnivorous plant that seduces and traps its prey, which reacts according to the touch that is perceived in the unobvious detail.
It has a subtlety that does not leave you unscathed
The lamia coils around its prey, ensnaring the fox's fragile mind with their hypnotic eye.
The kitsune lacks such resistance to resist such hypnotic abilities and so she sinks deeper into the lamia's coils
