Fixed the portraits of my boys <3 first couple from my book Sons of Echidna. I was gonna skip their smut scene but then realised book one is way too straight compared to Saphic fest which is book 2 >>

I received a response from an Indi Pub who ❤️ my that read

“We loved ur pitch, BUT ur MS needs 1-2 rounds of a pro development edit.”

Isn't that what they do?

Is this nice way of saying “we can't fix this shit”?

HELP?

I can finally say I wrote a sci-fi novel! Here’s the final sentence:

“I was finally going to write my own future, I just hoped I didn’t fuck up the ending.”

Wanna share your final sentence?

Good luck to everyone participating in today. Remember 3 things: 1) Regardless of what happens today, YOU ARE ENOUGH! 2) Most authors get an agent through traditional querying, 3) the best part is connecting with Be kind to yourself today & have fun!

This guy is getting his own story.

Way up in the mountains,
higher than trees grew,
higher than birds flew,
where there is always ice and snow
and people just do not go,

there was a footprint.

Sometimes I get so caught up in going through emails, revising scenes, etc. that after all is said and done, I don't feel as though I paid attention to any of it. Do you ever feel that way? If so, how do you slow down?

*Updated* My list of Kidlit/YA agents on Twitter: https://t.co/N4PR4Rslnx

Tip: Always research before querying. Don't DM agents unless you are 100% positive they are ok with it.
