パンの間にモッツァレッラチーズを挟んで揚げた料理です。
carrozzaとは馬車という意味で、かつては丸い形のパンが使われており、チーズを挟む二枚の丸いパンを左右の車輪に見立ててこのような名前が付いたそうです。
