I have been calling Sonic's Spin Dash the "Spish" for literal years now, to the point where it's abnormal for me to call it the Spin Dash.
And this little nickname has spread to MANY friends of mine, they have been calling it the "Spish" too.

The red fur and blonde hair color scheme originated from an early SatAM model sheet, seemingly sent to Archie by mistake. It's also possible they hadn't set Sally's pilot colors in stone yet.
