6/17/80: One of the most consequential comics ever published. X-MEN #137 gave us the fate of Jean Grey, hinging upon a single throwaway panel in a previous issue. Claremont/Byrne deliver their masterstroke, and we were stunned. Over four decades later, it still lands its punch.

@VenDjarin moralo was originally made as a throwaway character so i gave him a random ass name and the only one I could think of was from some ugly dude from star wars also named moralo
@AyleenDeer I designed him as a little throwaway design idea and then I accidentally fell in love.

People like you when you’re out to beat the world
Just felt like posting an old pic of my character that was done for me, sadly artist can’t be credited since they used a throwaway on Reddit and wouldn’t reveal themselves.
@jnygjhrmjmvjk3 The most recent example of these caricatures that I've seen can be found in the My Hero Academia movie (one of the throwaway villains in the first chase scene), as well as "Chocoluv" from Shaman King, whose design looked like this (but was thankfully recently updated)
@littlegecko_ mmm kitty
I made this guy in highschool and halfway through drawing him I realized "oh shit this is a fursona"
The bat was also a throwaway prop I used for a joke about a "cat gang" with some friends but people kept drawing him with it so it stuck :3

That's your throwaway? Just because something is in fiction, it doesn't mean that specific thing actually exists in the real world. Anime characters do not exist in the real world. This character here is not realistic and will never exist in the real world https://t.co/xzjuIU7Ssh
Rather than taking an opportunity to enrich the show with the expertise of a remarkable woman, they opted for a throwaway cheap shot. It was mean and it was wasteful.
DMs, have you ever created a throwaway character that ended up being a party favorite? #dnd
