For me it was an aesthetic of mid-2000s web animation. I grew up loving series like Tankmen, Homestar Runner, Legendary Frog, etc. back in the days when Flash was king!!👑 I've been using Flash as an illustration tool for years, and even made my model within it!!

For

Is it weird that I like movies with very weird ass plots? I.E. Get Mean, those Scary Movies from the early 2000s... That's kind of all that come to mind.

Obviously fake, but given what they did with Peach and Daisy in the 2000s, it seems believable. https://t.co/rOPYHtYWM6

Felt like doing this old art prompt with a 2000s anime characters theme! Feel free to send me some prompts!

I found an early 2000s cheesy bubble pop song that made me think of them. They’re besties and I adore their friendship.

Been reading a bit into the history of computer graphics (1960-2000s). Converted some of the notes I took into these. What are the milestones in graphics you remember from any decade?

The biggest time I read comics was mid to late 90s and early 2000s and it shows

So I have a new hobby, and that’s watching mid-tier 2000s dinosaur movies.

I’ve watched Journey to the Center of the Earth and Dinosaur Island, and I’m trying to find more. Any suggestions?

The only other one that comes to mind is Will Ferrel’s Land of the Lost.

It's a wild departure that really fits the early 2000s lol. Just look at these anime-as-heck redesigns.

Checked of 2 for the "10 Style Challenge" @/GrimSage461 and Ashvail! They were given 2000s Cartoon Network (Samurai Jack) and South Park make overs!

We also got a raid from @/MeechaMusume and passed the love on to @/vapour101!

SO THATS WHY IT FEELS LIKE A MOVIE POSTER

The layout resembles those minimalistic movie posters from the late 90s to early 2000s where:

a) it uses a white background; and
b) the text is not standing out so only the characters are emphasized

I spent the 2000s reading through comics on Deviant Art and independent hosting sites but I didn't make a webcomic until college. My first comic "Ellen" is forever unfinished and abandoned. I also made some short story comics until one of my short comics became a Webtoon https://t.co/3JIo0Y4fua

What you see & grew up with in the 1930s-2000s was a result of artists working within limitations & smart prioritization ( yes, even Disney/Dreamworks to a lesser extent! )

We're sorry you miss that look & feel, but CURRENTLY... The system we're in can't afford to go back.
