I still don't understand how the game director of DOTD messed up this badly. The concept art was more true to the OG designs, had balanced anatomy, and such. And he chose the design that looked like an hourglass, looked painful and uncanny. And DOTD Cynder's canonically 15 btw.

the Ayukashi Triangle anime having the character designer for the later Strike the Blood OVAs is an *interesting* decision.

It would never have been my first choice for adapting Yabuki designs, but it does make sense the more I think about it.

Here we have an inn, a bounty hunting guild, and a bakery. I tried to make every building with a balcony have unique railings, and it took FOREVER to get the bakery’s just right. I tried so many pretzel and twist designs, but I really love the pie weave I landed on
