Now we are at the point where I gush about McGuinness’ X-Men. He draws one of my favorite takes on Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and Cable (as seen in Amazing X-Men, and Avengers: X-Sanction). So I’ll once again just post some random pages & non X-Covers out of order/context (18/)

Oh and shit got even crazier with Fall Of Hulks & World War Hulks, I mean... just look at this stuff. The next few tweets are presented without comment other than nobody could pull this off quite like McGuinness did (15/)

and would win! People used to get so upset at how “bad” the comic was, but you had McGuinness (with some beautiful Art Adams & Frank Cho issues interspersed) drawing massive battles. Looking back... what’s not to love? He EVEN STOLE SILVER SURFER’S BOARD (14/)

Speaking of crazy... McGuinness and Loeb would team again on the infamous original Red Hulk run of Hulk. The series reads much, much better with the benefit of time and hindsight. It was absolutely bananas, and such a fun read these days. Rulk fought pretty much everyone (13/)

A few years later McGuinness would rejoin the title for Loeb’s last S/B arc. That was a doozy. I won’t attempt to even explain it... other than there was an Ultimates pastiche (Maximums), a lot of gender swapped characters. Oh and then Bat-Mite Mr. Mxy, Darkseid, and Joker(10/)

McGuinness REALLY got going with his work on the Jeph Loeb penned Superman run. When Cam Smith joined him on the series as one of the inkers I felt McGuinness’ art really started to come together, and hasn’t changed a whole lot since then

I was going to respond to your tweet when you sent it, but I ended up going down a rabbit hole and went through a whole bunch of McGuinness art. I honestly believe he’s one of my favorites? I’m going to do an appreciation thread but, I’ll start here... I love his Cable & Cap!

Did you know?....the Vikings were first awarded an AFL Franchise in 1960, but the NFL wanted the Twin Cities TV market, and awarded them the (then) more valuable NFL team for 1961. That AFL team became the Raiders....hmmm, Minnesota Raiders....#vikings

Except for Minnesota. It isn’t Texas to. You could say, my home state is the “polar opposite” of Texas.
