been practicing face shapes n stuff. noticed that these four ocs previously looked incredibly similar to one another when they were uncoloured sketches, so i wanted to see if i could differentiate them better

doodle and comparison. i looked at the small mistakes i made with Phase 1 MM to make a better MM.

Originally she had one blade on a more foreshortened and horizontal angle, but it looked better to have 2 daggers at off angles. I made them gilded to let them stand out at small size.

While the final game definitely looks better, part of me wants to see what Omori would have looked like if they stuck with the old artstyle. It looks much more like a child's drawing, which works really well thematically

So I had this idea for a digital art but before I programmed it I looked to see if a traditional artist had ever drawn or painted it. I found an image by @edwardiantaylor on tumblr that was exactly what I envisioned. I still put it an AI as well. I'd take ET's this time for sure.
