was having a conversation with about our different art processes and this is my art with and without overlay/multiply/glow and other filter layers! does anyone else's art undergo a drastic change with filters?

After i made all shadow and light, next step is coloring~

I use 2 layers:
1. Flat color
2. Sub surface scattering: additional red color because blood reflection inside our skin

And pic 3 is all color layers combine result (blending mode: multiply)

Here's another example of the multiply + add combination

1st photo: my normal coloring process
2nd: red violet later (multiply, low opac) + yellow orange (add, adjust opacity)

then change background acc to the mood u like :3

seriously i think it was like... OC 1.1 or something? the software’s file size is so dang tiny and the theres no “normal” mode to pile up layers (default is multiply) but i always preferred digital painting anyway so i did stuff like this

Kalo buat yang benda2 depannya cuma digambar pake brush biasa terus dikasih gaussian blur. Dan terakhir new layer, trus dibikin semacam vignette gituu tapi pake brush biasa cuma layernya diganti jadi multiply (kiri tanpa multiply, kanan pake)

quick colour of Honeybee Cloud. Experimented with using a bunch of blend modes on top of each other - works out way better than just using the monochrome drawing as a multiply or burn layer

*sob* time moves by so fast. I'm getting old- I think I was using paint tool sai when I made the first one? Now I'm using clip studio. I still don't use short cut keys, but I do know how to use the multiply layer.. just took me.. like 7 years LOL

The funny part about the first one, I could apply the same filtering I did there for the second. The difference, hard light, and multiply. The only thing that isn't added is the shading cause this one was made purposely flat.

I still hate the first one tho XD
