Happy 4th anniversary to Octopath Traveler, the first of the HD-2D games which made quite the splash and a game that has one of the best original soundtracks I've ever heard in gaming. Hopefully we'll get to enjoy it on PS4/5 at some stage! 🥳🙌🏻❤️👏🏻😋🎊
I've been showing the Marvel vs Capcom 2 soundtrack to my gf recently and it made me want to draw my childhood team: Jin, Strider Hiryu, and Hayato.
I'm probably really bad at MvC2 but I had a lot of fond memories spending my quarters at the pizza place playing this game.
Right from the artwork, the influence on Out Run is pretty clear. The September Wind album (1982) by Naoya Matsuoka would strongly influence the flavour of Sega's classic arcade racer, along with the classic wind sounds and jazz fusion soundtrack.
