Some people seemed to think the Predator in #Prey was unskilled or inexperienced. And yes, that is part of the lore - some Predators are experienced, some are not.

Thats why the franchise is so flexible; especially in the comics.

Seemed to CLASH with modern fantasy character types.

A funny thing in 1977. A little movie called Star Wars was the rage, but Kenner - who had the toy rights - wasn't prepared (no one was) for the merchandising demand. So, a competitor, IDEAL, seemed to get there first.
