Gradient and then slapping a texture on top feels cheap, but honestly? I'd probably just give up otherwise at being unable to make anything even halfway decent

Taking a break from laying in value to mess around with gradient maps and hue layers to theoretically bring the painting into full color
I've never done grayscale-to-color with this degree of success. Having a ton of fun with it.
