surprisingly the hat was coincidental and the colour (pink/grey) is situational depending on his context, it was mainly the art style and simplicity of features, other references were the earthbound/mother series!

me personally i'd just take her True Form and swap in some black accents while retaining that nice coral pink/red. i feel like her silhouette already evokes the item shopkeeper and also distinguishes herself further from peach (as the idea seems to be)
