1. if you can imagine how much I love barb.... multiply that by a hundred, and you’ll get how much I absolutely adore shigaraki tomura. my main acc is almost exclusively dedicated to Him
@eIfenIieds 1.Base color
2.Shading (Multiply)
3.Detailed description, lighting (overlay, screen)
4.Effect and color correction (overlay, glow)
@LycanGoop Send snacks and i can contain the energy. Perhaps multiply it.
@heavendotsai @noahbradley @ImRachelBradley ...oh shoot, you said digital art.
This digital piece mimics my traditional techniques.
I learned:
Color on a multiply layer (img 1) is subject to the background, like markers, only digital.
Limited opacity on a normal layer (applied in img 2) lets select details pop.
! I wanted to compare old layer styles to my new one (off black normal, dark reddish-brown multiply, and dark reddish-pink Lumi and shade
Just a study I did this afternoon. I wanted to see how accurate I could be with the colors without taking samples from the image or using any multiply/glow dodge layers. I think I did pretty well with my guesses (Yeah it’s Steve from stranger things season 2)
Did some props recently. Lasso, overlay/multiply, then hand blend the rest. The next step would be detail.

I wanted to do lighting practice with Add and Multiply layers and I recently watched #AllSaintsStreet so.....My boy Nini!!! <3
wanted to try shading with only multiply (n add glow) for once so here's some @Condifiction doodles awawaa
WIP screenshots from coloring Scott and Kirstin.
My digital coloring hacks: use a separate multiply layer*, and alpha lock the layer you're coloring on.
*Line art on a multiply layer above coloring, OR coloring on multiply layer above the white-filled line art. Either works!
Confined, we make useless signals
And no voice breaks the ring
Of solid darkness.
But who listens?
We are a house of dispair
And death;
Useless scaffolding to crown consumption.
And we grow and multiply.

“Now you're part of the band
That they've got get your peas in a pod and you'll
Multiply and divide”
6. Leave the lighting for last/ do it on separate layers
It's much easier to color using your regular base colors then adding your lighting than trying to get the right blue for the skintone,
multiply and overlay your colors and add highlights and reflections after!
@Crystal_Neptune Oh, and if you don't divide and multiply the brightness value, the model ends up looking really flat since the brightness values above 1 get thrown away in the ColourRamp.
