# art

: And here I thought I wasn't getting better at atmosphere! 2014 - 2019. Looking through older art was /weird/, and tough to choose from. I feel like maybe I've lost some ambitiousness and freedom in my work, but I'm excited to see what I'll make in the future!

2008 to 2019
Maybe someday I'll do a direct revamp of the old okami piece. And that IS the biggest size made of it, I didn't understand dpi in 2008. The default PS leaf brush tho is really the icing on the cake for me.

These are quite similar, so it's a nice comparison 😊

The earliest character design for Wired complete with chobits ears and some of my first ever digital lineart, vs Rowan, a character from the final version!

What's this? looks fun 👀 Let's compare my very first attempt to draw lady in a tower, vs my most recent attempt!

I don't know the exact year I did the first one, but this is definitely at least 10 (probably 15) years of progress!

I really like those comparisons whenever they crop up. Here's Shayasanya in 2009 and 2019 both in pencil. though I haven't worked a lot in pencil in the meantime, I think progress is still visible.
