I've been trying to get more into CSP lately and decided to redraw a painting of as practice

Is it just me or does Paint Tool SAI kinda feel more...natural? I'm missing the smooth blending and stabilisation here a bit. Maybe I haven't tweaked the brushes enough yet

The way I found that works for me is sections and shapes if that make sense. And as for shading, I literally just color a part of the hair and use a blending tool to smush it around until I like it.

Okay someone asked me how I use grayscale, gradient maps and blending modes to color, so here’s how I do it in Procreate! I believe other programs like Photoshop, CSP, and others have this feature as well ⬇️⬇️⬇️

I use a pencil texture pen for EVERYTHING btw, no blending, just very low opacity and color dropping a lot for shading. Pink is ur best friend, go batshit with the blush and sunset eyes or nothing good luck bestie <3
