Forgot to post these up. Week 2 for Craig Mullins course on . First part was to draw the portrait in a looseer style and experiment with adding texture. Next was to use really low opacity and glaze the colours in. Great learning experience

Getting close with this Gainsborough transcription. Underpainting nearly done. Lots of flake white in the face ready for the glazes. It’s going to get darker and richer in colour. Another few sessions yet.

The entire booth at the NAMTA show is sold old when they get there. Not a drop of paint to spare. I did get a pitty bottle of glaze though after giving pitiful eyes there was all DAY LOL

This is a of a spy character sculpture that I made in a secondary school pottery class many years ago. The blue glaze detailing fit's in with this week's theme.
