To celebrate I wanted to draw some of my characters, Cassandra and Strigeta, in the style of the Cuphead games as bosses. It's been fun trying to draw it even if it is troublesome to replicate stuff like the filter or backgrounds.

Cel animation is just such a lost art. I hope one day a small studio with big dreams can revitalize it somehow for something great and ambitious. It really warms my heart to see more and more digital artists are trying to replicate the look in their work at least.

I actually prefer to use illustrations instead of real life designs for some reason. Maybe I think they are easier to replicate and build in-game or I think they are better looking lol. Did use RL refs for some if them.

Tried something different when drawing this, did the color first and then the lines. Also tried to replicate the sonic riders art style. Also wanted to see how a sonic character would look in my style. Had fun overall.

Anyone know someone who's able to replicate a very similar style to that found in the PvZ Garden Warfare games? The thought of wanting to see SnowTrap in that specific style at least once has been in my mind for quite some time. Suggestions are welcome!
