So, I used to have kind of a convoluted way of doing this - I would have my inkwash painting (I also used to paint elements separately and then compile them in PS) and then mostly use overlay & multiply to achieve colors laid over the inks. These things had sooo many layers.

I used too many layers. Would you believe I only just now learned about clipping layers thanks to ? -_- Thanks! It really makes it a lot faster to color my lines. ^_^
