I posted a WIP of this on Twitter but here it is, finished. I got some new watercolour brushes and tested them on this. The shading is a bit wonky because I went in without a plan, but I like how it came out overall. Holbein watercolour, Posca/Gelly roll with micron inks.

Hanging a small local show today and got to revive an older piece. New species of 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢 found off Micronesia in 2015. First illustration of 𝘓𝘶𝘻𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘵𝘩𝘺𝘴 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘳 in watercolor, graphite and gouache.
