I would love to see Tyris in your style! She is a wind sorceress. She was taken in by human nobles but shunned for being a harpy and worked hard to rise to fame. Her red streak is from battling and overpowering a wind god, which nearly killed her and cursed her in the process.

There is a lot that goes into this process. And one who does this job well has a lot of little details to verify with the owner of the rights of the character (I usually deal with the IP owner…in the case of Fei Long, it is Bruce Lee’s descendants).
