It's really, really cool. Each book series has an awesome and unique magic system, super dynamic fight scenes, and is just seething with style.

I highly reccomend starting with Mistborn. It follows Vin, a street urchin in a world of perpetually falling ash and rolling mist.

Again, this really COULD be great. it's got more good scenes than ep 1 but the film NEEDS to be cut down by about half an hour. by the last 10 minutes i felt that it was still dragging its feet. still good tho, 7/10.
