I've learned from 4 chapters of Hana no Keiji alone, he would have an interesting moveset. He uses both swords and spears, he has a super heavy pipe that hits hard, he at one point uses a steel umbrella head to deflect bullets, and of course the "Devil's Horse".

Then for all the games that just had big monsters hanging out on the right soaking up bullets and killing you in one hit from a 2 frame attack, I don’t know it feels more like they were included out of obligation. Those aren't necessarily bad, it's just easier to do them poorly.
