Some truly exceptional porcelain at auction in Germany at the moment including this cryptically signed and dated porcelain tray painted by Johann George Heintze. Dated "1735" and monogrammed "H Z" in the capitals of the pillars on the left. Amazing!

He probably copied them from Asian porcelain, such as these mounted Chinese vases in the Saloon (on loan from ).

You don't get it, it's the distance between the chin and the lower lip. This character actually has a freakishly small distance, he's the opposite of Jay Leno. These characters look like porcelain dolls. So weird.
