Hi, so I've been doing art shares for awhile but i always feel like I'm surrounded by people whos art is so much better than mine. I recently stopped because i felt like i was just in the shadows. I'd maybe get a like from a person. I did 2 today feeling hopeful.

it's Linka! Descendant of the goddess Din. She was my "OC" circa 2000 after playing too much Ocarina of Time. Her backstory doesn't really exist, but I always imagined she was there, behind Link, cleaning up his messes while hiding in the shadows. (1/2)

picked some new lighting direction and i'm trying to use better colors for the shadows. also getting tired of my awful brush strokes, so i'm gunna be experimenting with blending more things out using the default soft brush

Practising markers (plus a brush pen this time) again. I currently have only two shades of grey, hence the choppy shadows... should I buy more? It’s a dilemma.

Here it is with less texture, more sketch-ure. I'm starting to think that shadows should always be filled with screenspace *something*, because that's a very pretty thing to do to shadows.
