I find it funny how both adaptations handle this scene very differently.
Ultimate keeps the comedy aspect but chops out and inserts some other stuff while I remember Hellsing 2001 kept to the original text played it lore serious

This was the series I was referring to that had a bad live action adaptation to me. Especially the actor who plays the main guy he’s actually younger than the character, isn’t tall enough and isn’t very muscular which doesn’t really match with the character

Thats right, Satoshi Kon's Paprika was not the only adaptation based on the novel made by Yasutaka Tsutsui. This manga was indeed made around 1994-1995. I still appreciate how the upcoming "The New Kid" adaptation in the second Frights Graphic Novel is using Withered GF's design.
I feel he's quite underrepresented in the series and it makes me happy to see him get some needed love.
