In Scandinavian artist Anders Monsen Askevold's 1895 oil-on-canvas view of a fjord, the chilly Norwegian clime is a picture of tranquility. This work is on view in our painting gallery! #winter

#Hilda is burzum in calarts disguise. The norwegian names, the occult, the beauty and danger of the nordic forest, the longing back for it - Don't pretend you don't see it.

In Norwegian folklore, Christmas Eve's the day when witches take to the skies for mischief & general tomfoolery. As witches often use brooms for transportation, it's tradition for Norwegian families to hide any where the witches won't be able to find them.
The Norwegian Forest are kind, loving, & gentle cats with a strong nurturing instinct.😇✨ They're friendly, intelligent, & have very strong claws that make them very good climbers!💅⛰

Happy birthday #EdvardMunch! Did you know that he was described as the most handsome man in Norway? "Norway may rest assured; its 'most handsome man' is once more happy and laughing" can we read in the Norwegian paper Dagbladet. 'Starry Night'
‘For as long as I can remember I have suffered from a deep feeling of anxiety which I have tried to express in my art’.
Edvard Munch born 12th Dec 1863 was a Norwegian painter.
His most famous painting was, ‘The Scream’. 😱 #artistaday #onthisday #ArtEd
Two Women at the Seashore (1898, Norwegian print, colour woodcut) by Edvard Munch, who was born #OTD in 1863. A change from The Scream, but still an eerily disturbing picture.
Made these for some friends a while back. Concerning the one on the left, Norwegians will understand xD <3
