I find it intresting that in dev interviewes they say that a lot of time was spent on Jak's design to make him universaly appealing (mixing anime, american cartoons & a slight 2000s edge), but Daxter ended up looking way more unique & memorable.

Don't try to draw it hair by hair, try drawing it in big strands, and then if you need to, add a thinner line for detail here and there. Also keep it nice and glossy for appeal.

But I’ll always prioritize appealing composition over sticking strictly to the layout I’ve imagined and I’ll use the gradients to highlight (1/?)
