I love the style, but I agree with you. For me the thing I don't get is the weird little jackets(???) they wear(?) as chest armor. Zero looks like a kid instead of a veteran hunter.
And the fact that they really didn't seem to have spent much time on X's animations in general.

It's getting a little chilly in here!❄️We got a nice texture/vibe with the Frozen Staff and Frozen Armor. Colored in the outline, and started adding some shadows. Rendering next time!
