We have a fantastic selection of Ron Lawson prints. His distinctive work features a modern palette, clean compositions and familiar Scottish scenery.

good morning! thank you for the wholesome artshare!

I'm currently trying to focus on improving (or developing new skills for): new subject material, interesting compositions, and line work clarity.

This wk we thought we’d encourage you to take a closer look at 2 very alternative artists as our 'Artists of the Week'. First up is Sarah Jack - enjoying the challenge of creating 3D effects on 2D surfaces, Sarah's use of layers creates unique compositions https://t.co/F32b9qUF8O

Our Y7s have been exploring the geometric work of Camille Walala. They have created their own digital compositions in her style with some fantastic results. Well done to Ruqayyah, Najat and Diya, as well as Luka who has her own post as artist of the week!

I should get back to doing these multi-figure compositions sometime

They take forever but I still like the results

“Deeply transportive compositions, penned by ... The group clicks like clockwork ... A thoroughly worthwhile listening experience.”

Paul Schrader's "First Reformed" is a chilling look at environmentalism & religion. It's a grim & oppressive film with some really stunning image compositions. The story is very original. This is Ethan Hawke's best performance. Brilliant. 9/10

Thank you for the thread!! 😊 It was actually hard to find even somewhat dynamic pieces and I hadn't realized I went for stale poses and compositions :D I should work more on that!

An old Hanzo I drew a few years ago. When I was a bit more exiting at compositions.

View art by Kit Casey from her "Soulwork" series. Her paintings are vibrant and moving and reflect her expertise in the use of color and building strong and expressive compositions and textures. https://t.co/5j1SivIkRR

"Enter the dungeon?", 2016-2018, by "Deceiver" ( https://t.co/WcyvxCUV2n)

Love the use of greyscale and single colour in the compositions.

sometimes it helps me to flip my finished background art sideways/upside down. it literally gives new perspectives that can inspire new compositions

I've just heard that three of my illos landed on the longlist for :) The first one is my "Spatial Compositions" series and what makes it even more exciting is that it is already the 6th time these posters have been nominated or awarded sth!!! YAY!

Hendry Prasetya was the first artist for the comics, and i don't think we would have gotten to this point without him. He gives so much scope to his compositions, whether they're a giant dragon robot or just a tiny dog man, and he's responsible for drakkon's iconic reveal shot!

15. Halfway there! Draw three ‘action’ scenes with different compositions in each. Quick sketches are fine, just make them interesting and understandable! Bonus points if it’s the same scene, but different composition.
