This is such a lovely idea, that would be a great loss to miss. 🦔🌳 I'm super excited and I hope I will manage to do some of them. The challenge creators have already released the prompts for the week! Thanks for setting this up!

This is the title character from the Russian tale of Vasilisa the Beautiful, adapted into a Disney-esque style. Had lots of fun with the lighting and design!

A bunch of amazing artists are putting Folktale Week into effect, and I can’t resist joining in for at least a few of the prompts! I’ll probably do this one similar to how I’ve done inktober this year and just do a few of them as I can. If you would like… https://t.co/W4qltI9uSg

Cinecolor was also used exclusively for the ComiColor shorts (based on nursery rhymes & folktales), a series you'll likely recognize even if you haven't thought about the films in forever.

(Incidentally, this series is one of the most direct inspirations for CUPHEAD.)

Happy Qixi Festival (aka Chinese Valentine's Day)! Based on the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl folktale, the 7th day of the 7th lunar month is for celebrating love as it was the one day annually that the 2 lovers, who were banished to opposite sides of the Milky Way, could reunite.
