The dropship is what you use to get between levels but once you are in the level you will still be able to fly it and it can be ordered to serve as a support unit (call in missile strikes from it etc). I'm thinking there likely will be a hub world/base too.

Spent a few hours just aligning a 1 plate width missile cover in the center of a 1 brick / 3 plate high sideways assembly. Harder than it looks but happy with how it turned out.
